Sunday mornings from July 9 through August 27.*  Click here for dates or to make a reservation.  Join for one week – or for multiple weeks.

Location: Liberty Brewing, 4 Marshall Shore Rd, Liberty, ME 04949 (just a loon’s call from Lake St. George State Park)

Time: 9:30 to 11:00 AM.

Stand Up Paddleboard or kayak rental, lesson, & on-water support.  Ideal for first-time paddlers to experts – whether your style is “Rope Swing,” “Pinnacle,” or “Fledgeling”. If you’re a first-timer, we’ll orient you to the equipment, provide a lesson, and paddle with you as you enjoy the quiet cove near the LSG beach. Once you’ve learned or demonstrated basic skills, you can continue to paddle with us or head out on your own to explore the lake.  (Paddling with a buddy is always recommended.)

Cost:  $35 for a 1.5-hour board or kayak rental, paddle, life jacket, and lesson.  Book for 4 weeks and paddle for free on your 5th week!

What you should know about stand-up paddle boarding is that modern boards are wide and stable, you’re unlikely to fall off, and, in most cases, you’ll be standing up and paddling with confidence in fifteen minutes or less.  But paddle boards aren’t just for standing on.  You can also recline, sit, or kneel on your board.  You can swim from your board as well. We also have kayaks in a variety of shapes and sizes and if you choose to kayak, we’ll aim to provide one that is an ideal fit for you.

Things to bring include sandals or water shoes, hat, sunglasses, croakies (for your glasses or sunglasses), sunscreen, and a bottle of water. A towel and dry clothes for afterward are also a good idea.
