Janautica Sea Kayaks |
Janautica sea kayaks are manufactured in Milan, Italy and imported to
the U.S.. by Splashdance of Niceville, Florida. Janautica has been building
kayaks since 1982, and sells boats in Europe and Japan as well as the U.S.
Janautica kayaks are hand laid using quality reinforcements and resins.
Strength is improved by a coremat stripe on the inner keel line. Hull and deck
sections are joined with a double 10 cm (mat type) stripe inside and a 3 cm
gelcoated fiberglass (textile type) belt outside. Janautica kayaks have been reviewed by Sea Kayaker, Paddler, and Canoe & Kayak magazines. Janautica is known for its outstanding hull designs and commitment to continual innovation. All fiberglass models, for example, have a paddle groove behind the cockpit, which -- in conjunction with the rear deck elastics -- can be used to lock the paddle in place while re-entering the boat from the water. Janautica fiberglass kayaks are fitted with adjustable foot rests, ergonomic seat, deck elastics, safety lines, carrying toggles, and rudder mount. The tight-fitting rubber hatch covers are manufactured by Kajak-Sport of Finland and are considered state-of-the-art. |
