QCC kayaks are designed by John Winters
of Redwing Designs, who has more than 37 years of experience in designing and
building fast, stable, and maneuverable kayaks and canoes. John Winters'
designs maximize length-at-waterline, thereby maximizing speed and tracking
ability. Manufactured in Exeland, Wisconsin and sold only factory-direct by
QCC, these kayaks can now be seen and test paddled through affiliates in
various parts of the U.S.
QCC has years of experience in tooling and
mold building which it applies to its production of state of the art
fiberglass, kevlar, and carbon kayaks. In production of fiberglass boats, for
example, QCC uses a stitched bi-axial reinforcement (instead of the more common
and less expensive woven roving), an outer layer of 10 oz. cloth, and the
finest marine grade gel-coats and vinylester resins.
All QCC kayaks
are delivered complete with Rapidpulse Deluxe Touring Seats, SealLine foot
braces, (optional) thigh braces, Wichard u-bolt deck fittings, flush composite
hatch covers, safety lines, and 1/4" flexible baggage cords.
One of
the most enjoyable aspects of selecting a QCC kayak is being able to choose
from so many options. For example if you factor 3 layups x 6 different hull
designs x 2 deck hatch configurations x 3 steering options x 13 plus colors for
both deck and hull, you begin to realize that no kayak shop in the world could
ever stock this many boats. QCC couldn't stock this many boats either, but they
can custom build one just for you -- in four weeks or less.
QCC
deck configurations include: expedition (bow & stern hatches); and stern
hatch only.
Steering options include rudderless, SealLine SmartTrack
rudder, and retractable skeg with SealLine spring blade.
Color options include more than 13 color choices for
both deck and hull. Other options include compass, deck mounted pump, fishing
rod holder, cockpit foam.
QCC Kayaks warranties its kayaks to be free
from defects of materials and workmanship for as long as you own your QCC
Kayak.
