Great guides, highly recommend!
Ray and Leslie are very knowledgeable and patient guides. They love the coast of Maine and loved sharing it with us. After a long conversation about the needs and abilities of our group, they met us at Ash Point (part of Owl’s Head) with everything needed to enjoy a day on the water. Our group of 6 (including 2 teens) had a wonderful time. We had always wanted to try sea kayaking, but definitely felt in need of guidance and support. Water Walker provided that! We’re looking forward to exploring their new place on Basin Pond on another excursion to Maine. Highly recommended!

Pristine kayaking on Basin Pond!
Great experience kayaking the Basin Pond. Ray and Leslie did a terrific job. The equipment was all set when we arrived and in excellent condition. The pond is really wonderful and full of wildlife. We happened upon a big ol beaver working on his dam and spotted eagles and deer during our paddle. Highly recommend! Date of experience: July 2018 –Planner1250 on TripAdvisor

Thank you for the Wilderness Adventure
Our weekend visit to Basin Pond with you was full of pleasures – exploring your land and trails on skis included so much beauty and fun. Breaking trail, crossing brooks, watching the sun on the snow and treetops and sky, braving downhills and reflecting on it all at day’s end on Basin Pond – all wonderful. Leslie and Ray, we thank you for the wilderness adventures! –Catherine and Brent

Sliding Through the Water with Grace

HIGHLY recommended! Ray is the best guide in the area!
Third time using Water Walker for a tour in Stonington. Kayaked to Green Island for a 3rd trip to cliff jump into the quarry for swimming since the ocean is pretty chilly. Ray is very patient and cautious while letting you decide what you want to do on your trip. We decided to just do Green Island with a leisurely pace back to the launch site. It was the perfect trip. Did I mention it was pouring for part of the trip? He provided rain jackets and pumped the water out of the kayaks as well as drying the seats and providing dry bags for our picnic lunch and towels. And he takes pictures of your group in action. Wonderful, amazing trip and guide. HIGHLY recommend! Date of experience: August 2013 –Jerikw623 on TripAdvisor

Experience of a Lifetime
I recently got back from a few days of adventure in Maine. One of the highlights of the trip was sea kayaking off of Owls Head State Park. I used the Water Walker Tours, since the date this excursion was offered work out perfectly with my plan. Getting to the point, it was an amazing experience. First, my guide Ray was a total pro, had all the top gear needed for a safe and pleasant tour. He really knew the area well, and pointed out many interesting facts about the geographic area, the local culture and the wildlife we were seeing. The scenery of the tour was breathtaking. There were a series of archipelago islands where we docked, hiked and had lunch. We encountered many types of wildlife including osprey and seals lions! Realizing that it can get tricky to paddle and photograph at the same time, Ray took many pictures and sent me the link to download them after the trip. I highly recommend this tour and using Water Walker Tours. Date of experience: July 2012 –AniKatan on TripAdvisor

Ray- On behalf of my cohorts, I’d like to thank you for an excellent trip. We all had a great time and enjoyed not only the scenery and action, but your company as well. If you can scrounge together some details about the Baja trip, I’m all ears. Also, I have an unclaimed pair of sandals that I think are yours, let me know and I’ll send them up to you. Thanks again, Dave

“If you’d like to improve your paddling skills while touring Penobscot Bay with a terrific guide and skilled teacher, do yourself a favor and head to Belfast, Maine for a day or two (or more) with Ray Wirth of Walter Walker. The bay, from Whitehead to Isle au Haut, is stunning. The instruction — which had this novice paddling comfortably from one island to another by the afternoon of day one — is clear and supportive. The experience is sure to leave you thinking, ‘Oh, so this is why people go sea-kayaking.’ If you don’t have your own boat, an added plus is Water Walker’s range of top-quality brands (QCC, Janautica, Point 65N), making this a great place to ‘try before you buy’ under real-world paddling conditions.” –Tim Lynch

“Thanks for a very very special day. Martin and I will never forget it. You have a wonderful boat side manner and we hope to paddle with you again soon. ” –Marc H.

“Thank you Ray, for the great photos. Great memories of our trip with
you and Leslie. We feel very fortunate to have experienced such a
wonderful place with you as our guide and and both of you as our fellow seekers of beauty and peace. We are already looking forward to our next trip to Maine and hoping to paddle some with the two of you while there. and maybe share some Thai food too. –Susan & Rich

“Thanks for the rental and making it so easy for us.  As it turned out,  the cart was very helpful in getting the kayak back up
to the neighboring cottage.      My wife and I had a terrific time exploring the coast between Belfast harbor and Sears Island.    Thought I’d share a couple of photos I took of the local inhabitants . .
Congratulations on running such a worthwhile business.  You bring joy to a lot of folks.” –Larry G.

“. . . Laura and I wanted to thank you for your time, guidance and patience. We had a blast. I think we dreamed about kayaking on Sunday night. Laura is hooked on the Anadyr. I still haven’t made up my mind about a boat, but do know that the boat I have know (Walden Passage) is too wide for me. I have been out each day since, practicing edging and strokes.” — Peter K.

“Ray: Thanks again! The children, Sheila and I had a wonderful time kayaking with you yesterday. The two hours was just enough for them. We left Belfast and went to Kelmscott Farm and then on to Norton Pond. Just the right temperature and no one else there. Thanks again for the wonderful kayaking. See you next year!” Regards, Gary

“Thanks again for a most enjoyable outing. When I told my daughter I’ll take her next year, she said “You’d better!”. I’ll be in touch. –Charlie”

“Thank you for the great pictures and a wonderful day!  That was just spectacular kayaking.  See you next year for sure.” –Carol B.
